Junior Bulk Planner - Kickstart Your Manufacturing Planning Career!

  • Salary Circa: £28,000 - £30,000 p.a.
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
  • Location: Eye, Suffolk.
  • Contract: Full Time, Permanent.

Are you detail‑obsessed, tech‑savvy, and ready to dive into the fast‑paced world of food manufacturing? We're looking for an enthusiastic Junior Bulk Planner who's at the start of their planning journey and eager to join our client's team and learn the ropes.

If you enjoy solving problems, juggling schedules, and using data to keep things running smoothly - this could be the perfect role to launch your career!

What You'll Be Doing:
You'll become an important part of our client's production planning team, helping keep everything on track across their Dry Bulk and Wet Bulk operations. It's a hands‑on, get‑stuck‑in role with great exposure to the entire food manufacturing operation.

In a nutshell, you'll be:

  • Updating and maintaining production plans using data.
  • Making sure customer orders are processed correctly and reflected in the schedule.
  • Using Sage to keep delivery dates accurate, raw materials allocated, and information up to date.
  • Working closely with their Orders and Procurement teams so everyone has the information they need.
  • Checking stock levels so production never grinds to a halt.
  • Joining daily and weekly planning meetings to spot opportunities, flag risks, and help keep the whole process running smoothly.
  • Creating production plans ranging from "what's happening tomorrow" to "what's happening in the next few weeks".
  • Help maintain high standards of food safety, efficiency, and good housekeeping.

What Our Client is Looking For - The Ideal Person Will Have:
You don't need years of planning experience - but you do need curiosity, initiative, and the confidence to work well with numbers and systems.

  • Solid IT skills (Excel is your friend and bonus points if you know your way around advanced features).
  • Experience or basic knowledge of Sage 200 (or similar systems).
  • Strong attention to detail - you notice the small things that others miss.
  • Good communication skills - you'll be chatting with managers, directors, and sometimes customers.
  • The ability to stay organised even when there's lots going on.
  • Your own car - the site isn't accessible by reliable public transport, so you'll need to be able to drive to work.

How You'll Make an Impact - Every day, your work will directly influence:

  • Whether their production schedules run like clockwork.
  • How efficiently orders move through their system.
  • The accuracy of their delivery dates.
  • Customer satisfaction and overall operational flow.

Why Join Them? This is a brilliant opportunity to:

  • Build planning experience in a supportive team.
  • Work in a thriving food manufacturing environment.
  • Develop skills that will take you far in operations, planning, and supply chain.
  • Make a real difference from day one.

If you're the type who loves a good spreadsheet and feels a small glow of pride when a plan comes together, you'll fit right in. You'll be at the heart of the action, and you'll learn a huge amount along the way. If you're ready to grow, learn, and get stuck into a rewarding new role, apply now!!
